The east coast has a numerous shingle and pebbly coves with easily accessible, family-friendly beaches, while the more rugged west coast offers cliffs and more off-the-beaten-track bays requiring a little walking.

Erimitis Beach

The best beaches are often the most hidden, and Erimitis can only be reached, on foot, by the fearless. Make sure you have stocked up on refreshments , water and sunscreen, as there are no facilities on the pebble beach – it’s all about the stunning white cliffs and natural beauty here.

Plakes Beach

Plakes is the most famous beach in Paxos, and it’s easily reached from the main road. Situated just 500m away from the capital, Gaios, it is covered in dense olive groves and lush vegetation. The rocky landscape consists of stony plates, right next to the sea, with translucent waters that bewitch snorkellers and swimmers. If you follow the coastal road to the south you will reach the small, hidden Spiazza Beach.

Kaki Lagada Beach

This is one of the largest beaches on the island. It is located very close to Gaios. It has white pebbles and crystal clear waters.

Kipiadi Beach

Kipiadi is a huge pebbled ocean side found 4 km north of Gaios, the capital town of Paxi and near the town of Loggos and it is the largest beach on the island. It has crystal clear turquoise waters and white pebbles.

Galazio Beach

It is a beautiful beach which has taken its name from the clear blue waters that it has. It is located in the western part of the island and is unorganized. The beach is accessible only by sea.
